The GMT Funeral Plan will pay the insured amount directly to your nominated loved one for any funeral related expenses. Once the claim has been submitted to our office and approved, claim payment will be made immediately. This plan has a 6-month waiting period since the date of inception.

GMT will pay the Butchery Benefit in the event of a successful claim to your loved one in one of the following ways: You can select R7 500 that will be paid to a butchery in our butchery network or R8 500 in cash to your loved one, or even have a live cow delivered to the address where the funeral will take place. This benefit is only available on the Elite Plan and has a 6-month waiting period.

GMT will pay the main member or spouse's loved one an additional R20 000 if he or she dies as a result of an accident. This benefit is payable after a 1-month waiting period. This plan is only available on the Elite and Comprehensive Plans.
GMT will pay the main member or spouse's loved one R1 000 airtime loaded on to his or her cellphone once the claim has been successfully submitted. This benefit is only available on the Elite and Comprehensive Plans and has a 6-month waiting period.
In the event of a main member or spouse’s death, GMT will pay your family’s school fees, either directly to the school your children attend or directly to your loved one. This amount will be paid once the claim has been submitted successfully. This benefit has a 6-month waiting period.
